I don't trust a man who has a 9 year old mower that looks brand new. ;) :D

Nice looking machine. My dealer has one. I casually asked about the price on it. One of the folks said they can't sell it because of transmission issues. Then another sales person said it was repaired IIRC he indicated they had to put a new hydro in it. Said they wanted $4950 for it. I don't think I need it that bad LOL. As for not trusting someone with a clean machine can't wait to have mine (G2160) finished. I will post photos when done

I actually went and looked at a G2160 last night, thought I was going to buy it... the power steering wasn't working, I chose to walk away from it, seemed too risky, I am not educated enough in the electric power steering system and parts prices. I left there, checked marketplace, and found this clean GR for a great price so decided to take my chances on the hydro.

As far as waxing, I am not sure, but it must have been because it looks great.

This is the pic that was posted to Facebook ad, taken two days ago:

FYI, for anyone interested, I will try to make a comparison video of GR vs BX for mowing purposes. I want to compare speed, cut quality, and of course turning radius.

I've been mowing with a BX for 14 years now with the exception of two summers with a Z726X Kubota zero-turn. I prefer a regular tractor style mower and I bought this GR so I could still mow close to the house and shop area even if my BX is being used on other projects that need the mower off and front end loader on etc. I mow nearly 5 acres total so the GR would be taking care of about 2 acres and the other 3 can go a little longer between cuts.

Quick turning measurements (54" deck on concrete)

GR2120 uncut circle: 37", turning radius: 19 1/4"

I mowed with it for about 20 minutes.
My initial thoughts comparing it to a BX: Much smaller operator area, harder to get on and off, as expected, but just mentioning for anyone who is wondering. I am 6'3". The deck lift control could be in a nicer location, it is too far back (and on the wrong side lol), it feels slower in both forwards and reverse, the steering effort feels.the same (very easy, one finger control), engine is very very smooth at normal operating speeds. Cut quality seems the same as the BX so far but the grass isn't tall enough to really tell for sure on that overall, I went up and down some small hills and it done fine, there's no way a 2wd tractor would have done it, you can "feel" the glide steer kick in when turning, it is very subtle but I only noticed when paying attention, it definitely works great.

I took a few pics with the BX:

When I bought mine I didn't realize the PS was not working. I discovered the 30 amp fuse blown, but than the machine wanted to steer itself. I found a YouTube video of a procedure in the service manual to recalibrate the steering. Worked like a champ. Honestly really like the PS now other than it's a bit "imprecise" so you have to concentrate more on driving a straight line than for example my old Simplicity built machines were (Simplicity Sovereign and VERY old Allis Chalmer B10) or my Honda 4514 was. But none of those made that nice Kubota diesel "music" :D
I will say though for cutting performance nothing beats a Simplicity nothing

Imichael, hopefully the seller discovers something simple like a fuse and is able to sell it easily.

Update on my GR:
The 54" mower gearbox was covered in residue, I cleaned it all off, checked the fluid level, fluid was running out and I capped it back off.... used it for about 30 minutes and noticed the gear case was wet with oil. I then removed the plug and let it run out, there was about 12 oz too much, so that should explain the excessive venting. I went ahead and drained it and refilled it so I know it's good.

The transmission was covered in oil that appears to have not been cleaned off in a long long time. I cleaned it so I can see where the leak is... it is definitely venting fluid out of the breather but I believe there may be another leak as well. Will update when I solve that mystery.

Before and after pics attached.
