Here’s some pics of me unloading and standing up some short telephone poles for a friend of mine so he could string up some hop vines.

Well I got the hoses on and routed . It will have to be made more permanent but i was really itching to see how it performed . Grill guard coming soon before I get into any brush!
Smaller stumps come up pretty easy . I need to get used to the weight as it comes down a lot quicker than my bucket when empty .

The funny thing is I had been looking at the Tomahawk grapples for a long time but could not see any good way to ship them here . Especially right now .
Their prices were awesome .
Then I ran across blue diamond and the similarity was the first thing I noticed. There are a couple of other brands that I am pretty sure carry the exact same grapple but I can't remember their names . Are your pivots greasable ? Mine are.
Big stick of wood BTW

I wonder who actually manufactures them all. All I know is that they are USA made.

I picked mine up at the factory about 10 miles from me. They make them there in Nappanee mostly by Amish.

Over the winter I always have some trees fall across my tractor roads. Usually they are dead fir with rotted butts like this one.

The roads are drying up and it was breezy enough today to keep most of the bugs at bay so I decided to start clearing them out. I took some pics of this first one. Put them here to keep this old thread going.

On this one I pulled in at a 45* angle as close to the road edge as I could and grabbed the tree.

That way I could swing the butt end of the piece I cut off out from behind those other trees when I backed out. It's easy to get close to the edge and grab a tree at 45* with a very narrow grapple.

After that piece was backed out I set it down and regrabbed it in it's center then positioned it on top of the next section and them grabbed both.

I cut that off and backed out. I found a place to stick them where they could compost and be out of the way.

I came back and grabbed the very end of the remaining top and swung to the left pushing the top back into the woods and out of the way. Had a few sticks on the ground to pick up and I was done with that one.
