- kubota BX22, Cub ZForce S 48 inch deck
new member here, great forum.... been lurking for some time.
while thinking about how nice it would be to get a brush hog for the kubota and looking at the old gravely walk behind. something happened and now i have another project. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
has anyone ever put one of the old 30 inch brush decks from a gravely on the back of a tractor?
I figured have to match the pto and the spline for the deck via the driveshaft. the kubota is listed as SAE 1 3/8 (6 spline). 540 rpm. have to dig a little on the gravely specs.
weight will not be an issue as it usually is with the sub-compacts and it really smarts to pay more for smaller impliments like we usually do. I think it would be worthwhile to see if this can be done as the gravely impliments are cheap and plentiful, at least compared to new stuff.
was thinking that a "carry all" attachment to be a good platform to marry the deck to the 3-point hitch. with a little welding and scrap steel.
any suggestions as to what to watch out for, ideas so on would be greatly appriciated!
of course i alreay plan on painting the deck kubota orange when i"m done! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
thanks in advance
little dirt farmer in western PA, kubota bx22, couple deere mowers, old gravely walk behind, various other machines in various states of disrepair
