I have a mid to late 60's Super Convertible (I think). It does ok for brush mowing but this winter I got a dog eater snow blower for it. There are a few issues I am having but let's start with the biggest problem.

It can barely get up my paved driveway after I've made a pass down it. Only the left wheel is spinning and it has no chains so it just spins. Once I finally finagle it up to the top I can lift the right side enough that the right wheel will start to spin but it's not helping to drive when I need it to. I actually think it is doing the same thing when brush mowing I just don't get it stuck all that often so it's never been a big deal.

Is there a way I can get the right wheel to keep spinning so I can get this thing up the hill on it's own? Is something broken or out of adjustment?

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I have never seen anyone come up with a locking diff for a Gravely, be great if they did! One help is to get chains and add weight and adjust the tire pressure, you could also find some gear reduction units which would add weight, provide taller tires (add chains), and slow down the machine for snow blowing,,, as long as you don't have an L8 or a Kohler engine machine,, swiftmatic machines need extensive machining to use the GR units, but it has been done.
