I recently picked up a left outside but otherwise in good condition mid-mount snowplow/pusher bar for my ATV.
After disassembling/derusting/priming/painting, I've got 2 plates with quite a bit of surface contact area that rotate to angle the plow.
Pivot portion looks almost identical to this except mine is a mid-mount/longer push tube and not a front mount as pictured:

My initial inclination is to use marine grease, but wondering if there is a better product that will function in low temps and may attract less dirt?
I am also considering installing a 6" diameter ~1/8" thick nylon or PTFE or UHMWPE sheet washer here or maybe a combination of plastic washer + lube
I know to stay away from lithium grease for this application; and while fluid film may be appropriate for the plow blade itself I don't see that as appropriate for between the 2 plates at the pivot.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience here?

unless your planning to commercial plow 1000's of hours, your over concerned, i used my regular multicomplex grease and have no wear except paint removal for the last 10 years.

Perhaps you're right and I'm overthinking it. My primary concern is I don't want to find it rusted solid the following year

put some grease down, and move the angle from time to time, never came close to having mine freeze up

I cover mine with Fluid Film, I've used it for 6 years now and it's never froze or rusted up on me yet.

Moly it's kind of made for metal on metal contact what I use, I've tried to make and insert thin Teflon wafers/ plates to very minimal success.

Over 40 years out here I've had two rear blades with the same double plate arrangement. It's where the king pin holds the blade onto the frame and allows the blade to pivot. I've never greased these plates and never had a problem with rust. If your plates should rust together - it's because you aren't using the implement often enough.

When I use my rear blade up/down my mile long gravel driveway - anything between these two plates gets ground to dust. And like all the other dust around here - gets blow away to the NE with the winds.

I completely agree.

Well this free relic is over 20 yrs old and still working like a snow plow on original king pin I will say greasing open sliding components is messy and I wouldn't do it in the non snow months cuz then it's a dirt magnet. I also recommend lubing a steel cable winch somewhat frequently with cable and chain lube.
