Yesterday was a great day, we became the proud owners of a MX5100 What a nice tractor for the money! It's equiped with 4wd, LA844 FEL, grill guard, dual rear hyd, work light. Our local dealer: Kuhns Equipment in Quincy IL was fantastic to work with. Our salesman was Vern and he made this one of the easiest and pleasant purchases for the farm yet. So far we are nothing but impressed with the Kubota. We had looked at N.H. and Deere but couldn't see spending thousands more for plastic and a tractor made in India. We got the tractor delivered for a hair over $23,000 and the dealer even mounted a pair of clevis on the bucket for us. I think this tractor has found a happy home for many years to come!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/rickguns/new tractor/newtractor109.jpg

Congrats, that's a good looking tractor. The MX5100 gives you a lot of bang for the buck. I like those rear tires too. Not the typical full bars like mine but has alternating half bars.

They are nice looking tires. They're Titans which is actually a local manufacturer here in town that produces steel wheels for Ag. and military.

Finally got a chance to get out in a field and do some discing. The ground was probably wetter than it should of been to be worked but here in the midwest we can't keep the rain away. The tractor worked flawlessly. I was impressed. This tractor is worth every penny spent! What a step up from the old Ford 3000 gas tractor (anybody need one?)

Nice looking tractor, Rick. Congratulations on a fine choice. Lotsa good hours in that machine. Bet it'll use less fuel than the old Ford 3000 as well; certainly when pulling hard. With fuel at $4-$5 a gallon, efficiency is the name of the game. FWD helps with that and once you get used to FWD, you'll wonder how you got by with 2WD. Man, that bucket looks wide. Did you get an optional size?

You might want to keep the 3000 and relegate it to back-up duties, moving wagons, etc. If it's in good shape & reliable, it'll probably be worth having it around. If someone's available to help occasionally, an extra tractor can get alot done.

botayota: If I'm not mistaken, the float feature comes with the "third" remote on the MX's. It costs as much as the first two combined. Not sure you have to add it in any particular order, though.
