Hi all, I have a Sears Craftsman GT 3000 (917.275042) with a 23 hp Kohler. I have a steering problem where I can make a real sharp left turn , but my full right turns are real wide. I can't find any adjustment to center the tires when the steering wheel is in the center (straight) position. There are adjustments on both wheels but they are to keep the wheels parallel with each other. I'm going to guess that the steering control rod that connects the steering wheel to the tires is bent thus allowing sharp lefts but wide rights. Can anyone help me confirm this or advise me? Thanks , Matt.

Just a thought, but if you disconnect both tie rod ends, straighten the wheels, and center the steering wheel, can you adjust the linkages enough to go back together?

It 's not like other tractors. I tried it , no deal.

They are designed this way. I guess it is assumed because the discharge is on the right you will be turning left most of the time. My GT 5000 is set up the same way.
