if I have my models straight,, this model came after the 265 and it still uses the Kawasaki single cylinder engine 540V.
I'm a fan of Kawasaki and this engine is tough. I do know this engine has had some issues with ignition coils and igniter boxes that sometimes go bad. Keep this in mind should you ever have starting or running issues.
Also, it seems the piston, rod, and crank are solid in these engines but they do have a counter-balancer that reduces vibration. During the last stages of these engine's life often the engine will throw the balancer thru the block. Because of this do your best to keep the oil level correct and changed regularly.
