I'd agree it would be quite an innovation if someone did manage to produce a workable and affordable tractor suspension, but I'm not expecting it any time soon.

And when operated within it's design, today's tractors are safe & also safe enough to give us the occasional reminder...KennyV

been there a couple times. though for me it was near miss side roll over. thankfully hand was already on the FEL, an i had easy access to the out riggers for the backhoe. and then able to swing the back hoe around. to keep me from slipping another 1/2 foot. which i am going to guess would have sent me rolling over

I am always a little rusty after a long winter and tend it take it easy for a while until I get back in the grove. I have found just taking a minute (Particularly on non rotine stuff) and thinking about things before I perform them really can make a difference. Ya go home safe.

i hear you there. first 2 times mowing in spring, i will avoid certain hills on purpose till i get re-use to the tractor. once i get use to it. then i will build up some courage and go over them overly steep hills. or hills were i have to mow side ways.

on another note: what about air cylinders and a 2 or 3 stage air pump and some sort of electronics to adjust how much pressure were in the 2 front cylinders to help adjust bounce and angle of the front tires.

+2 on that. If the FEL or backhoe has been unused for a while, it always seems to take a little while for the feel of the controls to get tuned up again. The less often you do something, the longer it takes to re-acquire the skill.
