I had posted some pictures of a replica I'm working on and some of you have asked for more pictures, so here a quick rumdown of what I have done so far. Most of the material has been stuff that was laying around my property.
Started out with this old Gilson RM7 mower.
With some slight modifications to where the gearbox goes, I used the rear end section of the mower.
Built the front framing and narrow front end and installed the steering mechanism . Bolted angle iron to the rear section of the frame and welded front section in place.
Lengthened rear axles, install rearend extentions and install rear hubs.
Installed temperary rear tires and rims to be able to get proper height for front end.
Installed gearbox drive, engine, flywheel.
Made and installed muffler, seat bracket and steering.
Motor has not ran for about 15 years so it needs some carb work and the gas tank cleaned out.
Got the rear tires mounded on the rims and put on the replica to see how they look.
Maked a the hand clutch, and it needs mounted.
