This information is priceless. And now I can at least suggest what it takes to make the conversion with confidence.

Thank you, I am not in a bind, but too many with 1300D FWD problems are, and was hoping for a quick cure. I have a few FWD parts for that model just laying around too.

Your fix would seem the most logical (only way) to eliminate the problem....until replacement gears are readily available.
Still, the change over to the 1401 FWD seems to be a big improvement over the 1300's original design. I better save this post for future.....just in case.

Check with a local machine shop. They maybe able to fix you up if you have a good example of what you need...
