It was quite a buildup to last night and last night was full on fireworks from as far as one could see… boy was it loud plus provided cover for lots of side show activity.

I don't think Independence Day was belated - perhaps the greeting is. It was typically loud, illegal, and the dog went regularly berserk. In other words pretty normal. Now we await New Years noise.
