At least I think that is what it is. Can you tell me more about it? I'd like to do some light farm work with it like moving round bales around, moving manure and york raking. Will this tractor be okay?

Right now I think it's only running on 2 cylinders and I'm having it go for a tune up and have the bucket put back on.

Anyone know where to get a manuel for it? And what type of attachments will fit it? Will the bucket be to heavy for it? I guess when the bucket was on it someone poured cement in the back of it to give it weight. Since then both have been taken off.

I'd also like a roll bar built for it. Any info would be great.

Thanks

I had one ,was my first tractor. It was practically bullet proof.Very dependable and simple to work on.Pulled like a freight train. You might be a little disappointed using the front end loader without power steering.Make sure if you have the bucket loaded and one front wheel falls in a little hole or gets up against a rock that you don't have your thumb inside the steering wheel.Ouch!

I used to have a TO-30, and it was, for its time, a pretty powerful small tractor - more tractor than the 8N for example.
Other than the awkward clutch and left brake on the same side, (rather than the two rear wheel brakes on the right side), I didn't have many complaints. The engine had power.

Without power steering, a FEL won't be much fun. The fact it didn't have live PTO, makes it a pain to operate the PTO -driven attachments, but an over-running clutch on the PTO shaft will help that situation a lot.

There are after-market manuals that you can get, that help with most R&R work. Yesteryear tractors is a site that may be a lot of help to you, as well as this site.

Hope you get the engine running on all 4's, and that you will enjoy the TO-30.

Welcome to the forum.

I just took off the fel on my TO 30. That little tractor wasn't made for one and without the power steering it is awfully hard on the front end. Being that the 3pt system doesn't work unless the pto is engaged, If you do a lot of pto work I would look at a different tractor. I wouldn't recommend it without the overunning clutch that was mentioned above, especially when using brush hog type mowers.
