From these pix can you determine what halogen or LED bulb will replace this headlight bulb from my YM226D? It has dual elements for hi/lo.
Yanmar part no. is 194262-53080.
Only writing is 12V 25W.

Actually, that is the same stanley headlight assembly that is on my M9000's and I replaced the feeble filament bulbs with LED's. you have to look around to find them but they are on Flea Bay with the odd base. Big difference and much, much less current draw to boot. Plug and play 100%.

Your bulb is a P15D-3 Stanley socket.

I don't use the headlights much if ever mostly just the Rear work light. Org. lights and this is the replacement. With both working I have all the Wattage I need. The LED. are bright I'm sure.

I changed the headlight bulbs and rear working lights on my 4410 to led. I don't use them much either but every time I do, I sure appreciate the extra light. Less heat and drain on the alternator too.

The driving factor for my M9 cab tractor to go from filament headlight bulbs to LED was, even though I have a 70 amp alternator (and my open station is a 40 amp), I run multiple auxiliary lamps on the cab tractor (high intensity LED's up top, 4 facing forward and 2 rear and even them being LED, they draw quite a bit of current and why I also upgraded ALL the filament bulbs on it to LED. I want as much illumination at night when in the fields or on the road without taxing the alternator excessively or the electrical system. The open station, not so much, but the cab tractor was my prime directive as it gets after dusk field work, often. LED illumination is much mire efficient in illumination produced per amp draw and the life of them is also much longer but that depends on the quality of the SMD's and why I retrofitted my filament to LED lights with CREE SMD's. CREE is the undisputed leader in LED illumination.

You are correct in LED's being much more efficient. As far as CREE goes they are garbage. I bought 10 interior bulbs from Home Depot for my shop about 5 years ago. I don't have any left. They are all burnt out. After the first few Home Depot wouldn't warranty them any more either.

Just buy a reasonably priced set ot LED's so that if on the rare chance one burns out you aren't out a whole lot of money. Stay away from CREE.

Just the opposite has been true for me. Considering how many imposters are out there, possibly your CREE SMD's were not CREE at all. Even where you got them is suspect. I've never considered Home Despot to carry first rate stuff. IMO, Home Despot is the TSC of box stores.

I've never had any issues with CREE at all.

Regardless, the owners of the tractors can source applicable LED bulbs on Flea Bay with a bit of searching. The base is unusual but not totally not replaceable. Like I said, the Stanley lens assembly is a duplicate of what I have in both my M9's
