Heating Problems

Just bought this MF1240 compact tractor. The problem is that the tractor seems to be losing some anti-freeze. Also it seems that it runs cooler since I took off the side panels. But then today the tractor wouldn't switch off. It also lost my gauges, even when I switched it on again. Please help me. This is my first tractor ( a newbie )

What are cool and hot? You have a electric problem, most likely fuses or some bad grounding.

Loosing anti-freeze is unrelated to electrical problems.
Is it leaking externally? Any drips?
If not: How does the oil look? Any milky-ness or white-ness? Does the tractor smoke when running or when started? What does smoke look like?
Who did you buy it from?

Water in the oil? Milky Way candy bar inside color. Oil in the coolant? Streaks and discoloration. You might try a radiator cap replacement and or a radiator pressure test . you can likely get one of those from Autozone under their tool loan program and take it back when you're done. Might not fit though so take cap in to see. Bad radiator caps can piss fluid.
Electrical is totally separate. Clean to bright battery terminals and whatever others you can find. Do yourself a favor when you do it and smear some dielectric grease on terminals. Same with ground. Before doing any of that look for hanging ground wires broken. Check fuses look for bad contacts corrosion. Dielectric grease here too if you can. For all of it to go out it should be a main fuse or breaker of some kind ahead of the fuse box.
