<font color="green">Please see the attached drawing. Hopefully someone can tell me what the bracket keyed as part 16 attaches to or how it fits with the rest of the hitch for a JD 54 inch front blade on a 2210.

Also, is there a operator's manual somewhere online for the JD 54 inch blade that works on a 2210? How do I get to it?

Thanks,

Mike

<font color="green">Thanks Pete!

The information you provided was just what I needed. As always a picture is worth a thousand words or in this case two pictures being worth two thousand words. Were these pictures taken when you owned your 2210 before you traded up?

The diagram at JD Parts makes that bracket look much smaller than it really is and that is why I was having a problem figuring out to what it connects.

Found a 54 front blade for sale that is missing that bracket and also needs the angling cylinder kit. That adds around $260 more to the cost of buying that blade in order for me to be able to use it.

Yup, the pics are from my late, great 2210. I'm loving the 4110 and have the same front blade set up for it. You are going to enjoy that plow and it sounds like a good buy. It really does make snow removal fun, especially on paved surfaces. I've never had to use weights either on the 2210 or the 4110, but I'm not exactly in the snow belt. You'll find you can move a surprisingly large amount of snow. Here's another pic. Enjoy /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

<font color="green">Pete,

The blade is on eBay with a current bid price of $560.

As mentioned in my earlier post it is missing the bracket for the front of the tractor that the quick-hitch attaches to and doesn't have the angling cylinder. By the time I purchase those parts, pay sales tax on the parts, and pay for shipping the blade I would have $900 or more $$ in it. The list price for the blade is $1147 so I would be saving some but not as much as I would have liked.

Thanks again for posting the pictures. They were of great value to me in determining the "true" cost of acquiring the blade. However I think I am going to pass since the blade won't come with any warranty.

Just not as good a deal as I thought at first.

In the parts diagram, the brackets that mount on the frame ARE smaller than what is shown in the other poster's photo.

In the photo, the green brackets are part of the grill-guard that comes with the front loader.

Both provide the slot and hole under the frame for the quick-hitch to mount to.

If you don't want a grill-guard, the other, smaller brackets in the parts diagram are likely cheaper. If you already have a mid-mower, you would aready have these brackets as well.

Pete, this has nothing to do with this thread but in reference to your picture of your 2210, I have the blower on mine and the front hose guide mounted by the grill guard interferes with the loader foot. It was hard to tell from your picture but do you remember if that guide interfered with your loader, is it mounted somewhere else or did you just remove when you put your loader on.

Thanks.

<font color="green">Rick,

Unfortunately the Quick-Hitch on the snow blade at eBay was missing the larger black bracket as seen underneath and attached to the hole and slot in the grill-guard in the picture provided by bigpete.

That's the part that would have cost me $95.70.

I have a grill-guard. As such I just need to come up with another snow blade that includes the entire Quick-Hitch and mounting hardware to mate with the holes and slots in the grill-guard. Using my rear blade to move snow last winter was a pain in the neck.

I hope the person who bought the blade on eBay can use it "as is" due to having another front mounted implement and the necessary bracket.

Hi, Chris. The attached cropping from the original photo is about the best I can do. It's pretty pixelated, but you can see the hydraulic line guides and their locations. I recall it was close to the loader support arms, but don't recal it ever posed a problem. If it had, i think I would have just removed it from that location and rigged another location or style of hose guide. I think it was held by a bolt threaded into a nut already welded on the tractor frame (my 4110 is set up that way). I did the install of the front blade and all of its related parts myself and found it pretty straight forward. Good luck.
