Serial number fits that of a 770....I feel a little better but still, things that you go hhmmmm.??

Is this another case of "same tractor, different engine.??"

Thanks Bullbreaker.

Hi The 670 and 770 used the same front axle so I do not think this is too strange. Many parts are the same between 670 and 770.

My Kubota L3400 front axle has "L3300" in raised letters.

Thanks everyone.

I did buy the tractor off craigslist.:D

Previous owner was the real deal with years of tractor experience.

I love my JD770, even if is stamped 670.:confused2:

Lotsa parts are crossed for different models....not only tractors. Have you never been in a GM dealership??;)

About the only differences between the 670 and 770 was the engine and wheels/tires. Even the 790's and current 3005 share many components with those two older machines.
Tough little machines!!

The 670 wheelbase is 56.1 inches and the 770 is 61.0. Be hard to fake that.
