- Cat D3, Deere 110 TLB, Kubota BX23 and L3800 and RTV900 with restored 1948 Deere M, 1949 Farmall Cub, 1953 Ford Jubliee and 1957 Ford 740 Row Crop, Craftsman Mower, Deere 350C Dozer 50 assorted vehicles from 1905 to 2006
I've got a 1996 f150 extended cab 4wd 5spd longbed 6cyl pickup not being used as in 300 miles in 2015
Put it up for sale on Craigs last year and had a lot of interest... not a single person showed up... wasted a lot of time which is typical for where I live.
It's very clean... zero rust... no body damage, original paint and bed was never used... purchased from a guy that retired in 1996 and bought it new as a retirement present to himself for hunting and fishing and it sat in his carport the last 3 years because of bad eyesight.
To make a long story short... I've have only one nephew and he is just crazy about it... got to thinking why not just gift it to him... cleared it with his Mom who is all for it... Dad is a little lukewarm because he will have to add to the family insurance.
My nephew drives all over the ranch and is very good with the tractors... has a steady hand and careful...
Felt bad as he was real close to his grandfather on the other side of the family who had a little Nissan pickup and nephew grew up helping Grandpa do the brakes, oil changes, rotating tires, etc... Grandpa said it would be his on his 16th birthday with no strings.
Grandpa died suddenly of a heart attack on Christmas 3 years ago and unfortunately Grandma sold the Nissan because her grandson was 12 at the time... she did give him a $1000 from the sale and said it was from Grandpa.
I bought my first car at age 12 with money I earned and never got into trouble and still have it... my Nephew will soon be 15.
How old were you when you got you first vehicle?
