how to get my tractor from wi to ny?

I shipped our LA vehicle test facility's contents back to NJ by a rented truck, borrowing fork trucks on both ends. Your equipment would be easy. For the tractor you could buy a used but good utility trailer in WI, get temp plates on it, then use the truck to tow it back at the same time. Afterward, sell the trailer in NY.

omg that's hilarious!! well, it would solve the storage issue...it'd just arrive with 2,000 additional hours on the proof meter! ;)

Interesting idea but i have so many things in storage: tc40da with 16LA loader, 758c backhoe 84csr snowblower, bushog phd and 6'cutter, 7' box blade, 6' tiller... all this just won't fit on a little trailer and combined, I bet it all weighs nearly7,000 pounds.

No. The attachments go in the truck.

The tractor with it's FEL and backhoe go on the trailer.

Yes, this makes sense. But that truck will cost at least 1,000 to rent and drive from wisc to ny and i'm sure they'll charge me 1,000 at least to take the TLB. i guess there's no way around it!

I have basically the same tractor, minus the backhoe(I'm jealous...). I have the 16' 7000lb trailer I used with my smaller previous tractor. The trailer handles the ~4500-5000lbs of tractor/loader/loaded tires ok. But, that tractor needs every inch of that 16' trailer. It is very long. Mine has the 17 loader and Supersteer, making it about a foot longer....

No way, even with loader removed, a TC40 would fit a 12' trailer.

Danica's tractor really needs an 18', or preferably a 20' trailer. For just the TLB.

I use the 12 foot bed car hauler. Good for carrying vans, pickup trucks, humvees, etc. Check it out.

Try YTMag as noted above. Maybe a big rig could fit you in a partial load. Even if it meant two loads. Might save some money.

Two dollars a loaded mile seems to be the going rate quoted a lot but a driver trying to get some where will often be a little better priced.

thank you! that was kindof what i thought because about a year ago i pulled the TLB up alongside a full size Yukon and wow: i was *longer* than the truck. The fact is, I may have to do it in two different trips, one for the implements and one for the TLB. Unfortunate but probable, I guess...
