How to remove mower from BX2370 to install box blade??

I am a new owner of BX2370 with front loader, box blade and 60" mower (3blades). I struggled with the mower removal because the shaft was so hard to work with and I couldn't pull it out. Any advice from you all who went through the same thing and if any remedy? I am hoping to work with boxblade this weekend so I would appreciate any feedbacks.

Welcome to the forum! I also have a 2370. There is a little button on the end of the drive shaft collar, did you push that in? If you push in the pin, the shaft slides right out. I'm assuming you are removing a MMM ( mid mount mower).

We have a Kubota B2710 with the 72" MMM. The mower deck can be pinned, in its raised position, so the 3 point can be used with the mower deck still installed. We use the box blade all the time and have never removed the MMM.

I suspect you can do the same. I will see if I can get a picture later today.

I drive my bx2360 up onto a couple of 2X8 pieces to raise the rear end up a bit. Seems to give me a little more working room. It can be a challenge getting it off. I also spray it with WD40 to keep the mechanism moving freely.

Yes, that's MMM. Thanks for the tip, I haven't done that the first time.

Can this be done? I was told by a dealer that I would need to remove MMM every time I use boxblade to prevent damage to MMM. If this is a new thing, please let me know how the MMM can be pinned. Thanks.

Why is it so challenge to remove when I was told it would be merely 2 minutes of our time removing this? Maybe a flaw in design?

On the BX, you can lock the MMM in the fully raised position by raising it as far as it will go then turn the height adjustment knob to the "TOP" position. We often did this with our BX, now we have one set up just for mowing and one for dirt work and bush hogging.

If you choose to remove the MMM however, it gets easier the more often you do it, my son can mount/dismount one in well under five minutes.

I would think that after you have done it a couple of times two minutes is about right.

Two minutes seems fast, or maybe I am just not in that much of a hurry. I have a BX 24 and for me the challenge is getting the PTO connected. Short arms, awkward position, and quick release on PTO that closes if you look at it funny. Still putting the MMM on and off is not that big of a deal. For your problem I would start by removing the mower. Then I would separate the PTO shaft. Then I would try connecting it. With only the shaft, no mower in the way, it should be a pretty easy process. If it doesn't go on and off smoothly I would do more checking to see if the male or female part of the hookup is the problem. There is a chance it is just a matter of a good cleaning and maybe some burr removal. Keep us posted.

I have left my MMM on when doing dirt work, but don't like too, to much chance of getting it hung up on something else.
