I usually make a couple of revolutions by hand just to make sure nothing is in the cylinders. I have had more than once on stored engines a cyl with water, mouse nests, nuts you name it. The water is the bad one, if the engine hits on any of the other cyls it can bend or break a rod. Sounds like you have the rest covered, I would not sweat the old fuel in the injection lines/injectors as long as it is fuel and not water/crud it will be gone quickly. Have fun!

I've already turned it over by rotating the pulley that drives the alternator etc so I think I'm covered on that front. Mostly anxious about the fuel but as the fuel left in the lines has already run through the Racor (albeit 8 years ago), I suppose it should be OK. There was no problem with the fuel when I stopped using it but I'm sure condensation and ?bio contaminants have screwed up the fuel in the tank. I intend to drain and disassemble the tank for cleaning (luckily it is on deck level just behind a simple panel) so I can get rid of that easily enough.
