If your location is west coast than I can understand. But if East Fredricks who have been around Yrs. before Hoye, I used them since 08. I can actually drive there in a little over a Hr. Only 2 Interstate HWY's Which I'm only a few miles from the first!

Try Tractor Supply. Or Amazon. That should be a universal part.
I got sad news. It's not been mentioned to much yet.

FREDRICKS EQUIPMENT is no longer offering VINTAGE Yanmar parts and service anymore either.
If you pick Yanmar, you get this,

If you click to check their vintage restored Yanmar machines, it stats there are none.

After reading this I looked on Ebay to see if there are still vendors selling replica Yanmar parts.

They're still there, but the offerings seem to be narrowing down to mostly YM2000 and related models. I saw muffler, water pump, hydraulic pump, clutch kits, brakes, steering box, new hydraulic strainer, starter, for these. And random parts for other models.

I called the old Hoye location and the gentlemen found the PN for me but the ease of using Hoye online will never be again. Getting the part is not the point. The point is All States Ag Parts has done a poor job of picking up where Hoye left off. Months ago I thought it would get better over time, I was wrong.

Browse the OLD Hoye site on the Archive.org site. Once your research there is done, then contact All States by phone or search their site for the info.

@California might be located in the best part of the country for vintage Yanmar parts now as our other sources are drying up.

Huh? If that's the case we really are orphans now. I don't know of any YM parts sources west of the Mississippi.

I don't recall I've seen a Yanmar in person that wasn't one I've bought, in over 20 years, ever since the local VN importer went bankrupt overwhelmed by their warranty returns.

Hoye in Texas :( was always my closest parts source.

@California there is a guy in Winters that has a couple in his bone yard. He likes to tinker. Pulled the FEL of one and put on mine and sold to me.
He sells a lot on FB, mainly Kubotas. I can look up to double check his name if you would like.

Thanks.

I've seen his ads on Craigslist a while back when I had a continual search app active.

I should ask him where he gets parts, now.

How do you like the Mahindra? Did it replace the Yanmar?

I had my Mahindra first. Bought the Yanmar to help me with develop a small flat property up near the border.
Mahindra is safer where I am currently located It’s like a Cadillac. But the Yanmar is a fun old time tractor. My first tractor experience was with a 1948 McCormick.
I think Rich stopped posting on Craigslist and only does FB marketplace. I know he has at least 2 in his bone yard that is above his skill or time to fix. He is a Kubota guy but dabbles in other brands
I do know the tractor I bought from him, I flushed and filled all the oil systems. I bled the fuel system I went through everything before I brought it up north.
Just a local possible source if you need parts. His guarantee to me was, If you need a part get ahold of me, If I have it, it’s yours.
