kinda like crying wolf.....We have so many "storm of the century" warnings which don't amount to a p-hole in the snow that it's easy to become complacent. As somebody already pointed out, our coastline and terrain tends to knock them back pretty quickly, often with a little help from that Canadian air from our neighbors to the north.
You must be in the southern part of the state, the NEK (as well as northern N.H.) is still considered to be moderate drought as of late July. We didn't get anywhere near as much rain here as southern New England.One troubling issue here in Paradise is that it's been raining for a month now. 16 inches in July, and more than 6 so far here in Aug. The ground is saturated.
If it rains, and the winds come, there are going to be many trees down. Big ones.
I set up the generator yesterday. Put a new tank on the grill and fueled up the Coleman stove ;-)
With these hills all around, if the water comes fast, The creeks gonna rise!
