I have a Kubota TG 1860 D. I need to change the hydrastatic transmission fluid but the owners manual does not cover this. Can someone please tell me how? Thanks. James

I would suspect that it uses Kubota UDT. Check with your local Kubota dealer to find out for sure.If you don't have a dealer in your area, fill out your bio and I'm sure someone can help you locate one in your vicinity. This site is a wealth of knowledge and the many members will chip in and help you out, they're a great group of people here. BTW Welcome to TBN!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is probably a bit late for jwm, but Kubota Servie Bulletin PSB-1998-042 "HST Oil Specifications" says:

"...use Mobil 20W-50 API SJ Class or the equivalent." and "Use a 20W-50 oil with a minimum rating of 55 SUS @ 210 Farenheit and a minimum API rating of SH/CD."

The bulletin also says don't mix oils with different viscosities.

I would recommend Amalie 245 If you read the label on the 245 it meets the specifications of super udt and it meets the spec of almost every major equipment company. I use it in all of my equipment. If you go to the Amalie web site and go to contact info you can email them the type of equipment you own and ask for recommendations.
