Hi Folks.
Have been having a problem with leaks on the hoses that go from the loader control to the loader. A professional replaced one of the hoses but still had leakage so decided to replace the other three hoses. Had them made at an hydraulic shop. The problem area is with the fittings that connect to the loader metal hoses. Part of the problem is I have not had experience with this hydraulics before and am a mediocre amateur mechanic at best. The fittings have tapered ends and I and the shop assumed they were JIC which they may be.
First time I installed them I tightened them what seemed like fairly tight. Had some drips when ran the loader. Second time I did not tighten them as much since internet research indicated leaks usually due to over tightening with JIC fittings. Leaked worse. Third time I tried putting a Loctite 561 Thread Sealant (stick) on the threads that I got from the hydraulic store for the coupler ends which were NPT type thread. I know you should not need it on JIC but what the heck. Still leaked worse.
So any helpful ideas?
Anybody know if Kioti actually uses the common American JIC 37 degree flare or the Japanese JIS 30* flare? I read somewhere that the JIS 30 is also common in Korea.
Please keep in mind that it may sound like I know what I'm talking about but it's from the internet, not personal experience.
