I was recently at my Kubota dealer and noticed on the new units in stock that the dust caps and plugs for the quick connect hydraulic lines for the FEL were four different colors. The ones that came on mine last year are all black, with daubs of paint on each fitting/hose to identify the correct pair. The colored plugs/caps would seem to be a more permanent identifier than the paint, which already seems to be hard to see. The dealer told me that the part numbers shown by Kubota do not show anything with colors listed. Anyone have any idea where those kind of caps/plugs can be found?

Tractor Supply Company has them in colors.

Mine came standard on my JD 2210. I would guess that the fittings would be a standard size. Thought it might help. They are easier and faster to locate when installing the loader. Especially for a color blind person.

Sorry, this doesn't answer your question but this is what works for me. I have some multi-colored ty-wraps that I wrap around the remotes and then put the same colored ty-wrap on the hose to the attachment. Red goes to red ect. Works great and very cheap.

I use tiewraps as well for the hydraulic lines....I have to use the lines for the FEL, front blade and snowblower. I am not very creative and just use one, two, three or four wraps to denote the correct hook up. I just hate it when you go to raise the FEL and it drops....real bad form!

A different take on the same issue: The caps that came with the BX over the years have expanded or something, probably caused by the hydraulic oil. They no longer fit tightly into one another when they aren't capping the line, and the soft rubber has turned into hard plastic. It isn't a big deal I suppose, but I like to keep dirt out of them and the connectors. ANyone had any caps for a long time that they know don't do this? Another factor is that the BX quick connects are smaller than what the big boys use....

I'm not sure what type of connector you have on your tractor
but Kubota used Parker ISO connectors on mine. I recalled
some stern words concerning the importance of the dust caps
from Parker:

I seem to recall Surplus Center had some rubber caps listed
in their catalog.
