debating upsizing to a bigger orange (dealer nearby and well regarded) tractor from b3030. Thinking of just going to to smaller l to retain access to some areas i ve that are congested

I have read on some threads that hydraulic options on the basic tractors aren't as well done - i.e. location of controls and outputs. Does anyone know if this is the case on these vs the grand l's? Was planning on getting the 3 rear output option (looks like max avail on L , grand l and mx)

Have grown quite used to TNT so i am planning on that (looks like it needs to be aftermarket), would also like to control either angle and extension on a blade or chute rotation and deflector.
Is there a way to control the 4 functions (i guess there is always a way but mean without extreme complexity or cost)?

If i get the 3 outputs in rear can i still add control for a grapple?

Anything else i should be thinking of?

Sorry for the basic questions- i need to learn more about tractor hydraulics i guess

Thanks

Best thing for a grapple is a diverter valve or 3rd function.

With a stacked valve you can get several spools with float maybe one with detent, and a motor spool.

About half of factory cost.

thanks JJ
so i take it what i want is not hard to do
are you saying i should not get my rear remotes with installed on the new tractor, that i'm better off with after market
is there a tractor hydraulics for dummies link somewhere so i can speak more intelligently on this?

If you have the money, the factory system will work fine, except you will not know how things were put together.

Your tractor is open center hyd system, so all valves have to be in series.

The pump feeds the first valve and the first valve feeds the second and so and so on.

If you have a FEL, the flow path might look something like this.

Pump , FEL, remote valve, 3pt, tank.

Each valves PB port goes to the next valve In port .

All tank lines go to tank.

If you do a search on TBN, someone probably has done what you want to do.

The new std Ls now have the hydraulics integrated into the tractor. So they now have a nice clean appearance vs being clamped on the ROPS like they use to be. Costly though, but if you like things nice and tidy, it is the way to go.

Just my :2cents:

nice and tidy is good
they don't list a top and tilt for it

i take it you can help with that brian

so jj
are you saying that all the valves are in series and when each is not being used the valve bypasses the flow onward? then each valve would dump what it used back to tank
i get that they can't be in parallel as then the lowest load flow path would take everything

That is correct.

thanks
i think i get the concept
are the ports typically labeled as such?
where in the flow does a cushion valve get put if used?
