Is the age an issue compared to the time...

Of course I can not tell HOW it was used except by scuffs of the paint and tire wear etc.

The only thing that I noticed was the adhering grime on any surface not easily washed. Might be rock dust. and the air filter element was positively loaded with gray dust that blew out/off easily with low pressure air.

Should the low hours draw a premium? Or do tractors follow their age? '=)

From what I have seen, used tractors in good condition seem to sell for 75% of new price for over a decade or more.

Well, Then I didn't get beat!

With a "like new snow blower" on back, the money paid is just about right!

I wonder about that rock dust though////

Check to see what the “filtered” side snorkel / intake boot looks like. If it’s got a pretty good coating of dust , it’s ingested some.
I’m a former motorcycle / atv / SxS mechanic, and have seen so many machines that people neglect air filter maintenance.

I did the "white glove" wipe on the inner "permanent" screen filter. Seemed OK to me. Nothing is perfect.

Does anyone know if the filter elements supplied by Kubota are water washable? Some makes are, I don't know about the Kubotas.

I did my time in the "recreational vehicle" wrenching trade back in the university days. Then went on to aircraft A&P ...

Now I find tractors the most enjoyable..

But I did need to get out my Utica Tools "jet nut" wrenches yesterday. I keep the tote box in tact. A reminder of good days and nights!

My neighbor has a 5 year old Kubota with only 30 hours on it. He only uses it for occasional tree work.

I'm currently in possession of a l3130 dt that I purchased used in about 2009 and I'm looking for another similar sized tractor to leave at our future vacation home property about 3 hours away. I swear that i could sell my l3130 for what I paid for it back then.

Hardly broken in at 280 hours. Ten years old could be pre or post emissions. If pre, I've seen them go for most of their original price new price in today's dollars. It all depends on condition.
