Hi, I am trying to get a new 2320 within the next couple of days. I want to also get a front end loader and 62 inch belly mower. My dealer is saying the best he can do with a 18% discount from the American Quarter Horse association on the list price of the loader and tractor is $16,313 without tax. Is this a fair price for the tractor, loader and mower? I really want to spend less than 15K for the everything. What should i try to bargain this price down to?:confused::confused:

There seem to be fairly significant price regional differences, so without your location posters will have difficulty providing specific answers.

Also, without knowing all the options included in the configuration it's almost impossible to say if $16.3K is a good figure. Your dealer should give you a detailed price quote listing all options, MSRP, any PDI or other charges and total discount.

Could you just walk in off the street and get 18% off MSRP? Maybe yes - maybe no. It's probably safe to say that 18% is better than many have managed. Compared to what the average individual can get 18% is starting to push the upper limits.

So, in my opinion, if the dealer has not slipped in extra charges and with a true 18% off MSRP the price is $16.3K getting down to $15K may not be a reasonable expectation.

Now having said that Deere appears to have Special Offers on 2320 / 2520 models Homeowners - Special Offers - Compact Utility Tractors so you may want to read the fine print to see if they apply to your situation and then assure yourself the dealer is giving you full credit when determining the real discount.

18% off, if that's in addition to any current JD rebates (I think there's $1000 on the 2320) is a pretty good deal. When you are pricing it, make sure what you're getting. The 62 MMM can be the standard (3 pt lift), independent hydraulic lift, or independent hydraulic with diverter. The loader can be the 200CX (quick and easy to take off) or the cheaper 200X. Check the prices with the on line tool and don't pass up the options you really want just to save a few hundred dollars.

I paid $16,100 including rebates for my 2320, 200cx and Frontier 1060R RFM. $16,300 is not bad but be sure they are not deleting or substituting cheaper stuff trying to get the price down. I had one dealer quote me the same price for a 2320, 200cx and a Frontier 1060E(~$600 cheaper). in the quote it also showed the hood guard being deleted for $90.

I get a list price of about $19,995 including freight and setup for the tractor, loader, mower combination. So your price of $16,313 is in fact just over 18%.

You are not going to go lower than that. Very few people get more that 10% discounts let alone 18%. I think you are getting a very good price on the tractor and the dealer would like to have your business. I'm not surprised they won't go lower.
