- Massey Ferguson 35 Diesel
I've never owned a tractor in my life but I am now the pround owner of a MF 35 Diesel and a Kubota B6000. The MF works fine but the Kubota is broken. I took it to Zimmerer and they don't know what's wrong with it. They could only get it to run for 90 seconds. They did a compression test and are only showing 100psi when it should be at 400. They recommended changing the injectors but they give that a 50/50 shot of fixing it. They also said the rings need replaced. I'll probably bite the bullet and spend the $$ to get it fixed next year
Like I said, I'm a total tractor rookie so any comments about this tractor would be greatly appreciated. I still want to get it fixed because, 1.) It was Kubota's first tractor in the US and I think that's kind of cool; 2.) It has a front end loader on it and my dad used it for all kinds of cool stuff. I know about the reverse PTO but it's ok because I already have a couple of different implements for it.
Like I said, any comments would be extremely helpful. It has a flat, cracked rubber, left front tire. When I asked the Kubota store about it, they said that they only sold the tire AND the wheel. They wouldn't sell me just the rubber tire. Is that right? Do I have to buy an entirely new tire and wheel. The current wheel in the tractor is just fine. That doesn't sound right. Any thoughts???
