international 3616 hyd problems

I have a internationl 3616 backhoe it has anew punp in the front ,but stiil the boom is weekand will not lift when the bucket is empyty.
then if i pull the stick lever it might come rt up ,or idle it down then rev it up it moves up a bit each time. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your fluid levels.

You might have air in the hyd system.

Does your fluid look normal? Fluid with a milky look is bad.

Have you checked your pump for good pressure.

Are your lift and curl cyl good?

Have you check all filters

The fluid is milky chenged the one filter that is up by my left foot .I heard there is a screen in the transmisson not sure were or how to find it .
It is a brand new pump.

and the curl is good the bucket us good the boom and swing are really weak barely move

Get on the internet and find an International dealer service department and they should tell you about the filters and screens.

If that new pump is an implement pump, it should be about 19 GPM.

Try this. Remove both hoses from the lift circuit and place in a 5 bucket.

At max engine rpm, you should be pumping about 19 GPM, so move the lever to max and time the flow for 6 sec. You should get about 2 GPM.

To check pressure, install a hyd gage in a tee in the IN port of the loader valve, and use it to monitor and trouble shoot the hyd system.

I have the same machine and read somewhere online about a valve that sits on top of the engine in front of the fuel tank. My boom is very weak until I pull the swing lever. Also, if I want full pressure for the outriggers, I have to move the swing lever out. Same with the crowd--pull in on the swing and the bucket will curl with more force.

I haven't dug into it yet, but I've been looking online for the valve part number.
