Is a CT225 25hp or 27hp?

bobcat website say 27, and 30 for the 230

I'm thinking the older ones are based on the CK25 and the newer ones are based on the CK27. since Bobcat didn't change their model designation, I guess the ony way you could tell is check the EPA label on the engine.

Blue chip is correct. I talked to a guyt that bought a CT225 and the owners manual says 25hp. The current specs list 27hp. They had a change in engine tiers which bumped it 2hp.

Has an overall length of 122.2 inches or ( 3104 mm) that is with 3 pt hitch

overall width of 55.4 inches or (1383 mm) and weighs 3028 lbs or (1373 kg)

ground clearance of 9.9 inches or (252 mm)

All this was taken out of the bobcat book!!!!

between the 25 and 27 how do you know which tractor you bought? any idea on how to tell the year?

I was told that a CT225 has a NET power rating of 25HP and GROSS power rating of 27HP. The spec sheet shows the GROSS power rating of 27HP. I was told that Bobcat did this on the spec sheet to be inline with the rest of its' competitors which uses GROSS power ratings.

I know this thread is a little old, but something has been bugging me about the CT225 and CK27. Kioti says the CK27 is 28hp and Bobcat says the CT225 is 27hp. Which is correct? Since Kioti makes the CT225 I'm inclined to go with the people that made it. How does Bobcat get 27hp instead of 28hp? I know the difference if negligible, but since they are the same machine they should have the same specs. Little discrepancies like that always bug me.

My dealer told me that Bobcat made about 25 modifications for their units. He said Bobcat uses Kubota frames and front axles. I can't recall what else he said. I know they're not exactly the same. The fuel tank on the Kioti is located behind the seat. i don't know if the engines are identical.

I'm sorry to say, but your dealer is sadly mistaken. There is nothing Kubota about these things. They are 100% Kioti. The fuel tank is in the same location on the Kioti as on the Bobcat. The only real difference between the Kioti and Bobcat are the seats (Bobcat has their logo on the seats), loaders, and backhoes.
