My tractor would pull that load just fine in 2 or 3 High, at half throttle!I went to the farm today and split a large load of wood, 16' tandem axle cargo trailer with all I could loose throw on it. Used my Brother's L3240 HST to pull the trailer back to the road. Please nobody take personal offense, this is no attack. GOD I hate that tractor. I'll use Fred's term, gutless wonder. So I'm climbing a very slight grade, got it in "M" rabbit, wide open throttle. It immediately starts losing rpms. Okay, turtle here we come. Still losing rpms and barely moving. Okay, come off the pedal a little. Helps. Now going about 2 mph. Patience, patience,,, keep telling myself it's a nice little tractor,,, just pulling a big load,,,,, patience, patience........
Remember,,,, I said no attack here. Just a personal observation that I probably should have kept to myself. With that said, I think a gear drive would have pulled that load easier and faster. Sorry HST guys.![]()
