GC1710
First time buyer here and struggling on decision to buy new or used. I am considering a 2017 MF GC1710 being privately sold with 198 hours on it. Comes with loader, backhoe and 4" box scraper. Asking price is $14,250. Looks to be in excellent condition. Would be used primarily for 3 acres of lawn area my home is on. Have another 22 acres of wooded and brush acreage, but no plans to do anything with it right now. Would be using the backhoe for drainage project, loader for snow removal and moving dirt. Box scraper for leveling some areas of a very bumpy lawn. I am bringing a neighbor to look at with me because my knowledge level is very low with tractors. Is this a decent price and anything I should be looking for when I see it again? Thanks.

With that many hours you can't go wrong espicially if you like the price... is it a fair deal, is it cheaper then a new one ? price it out if yes, jump on it ASAP plus it has all the implements you are looking for ... Ask him about the tractor servicing history, it should've got serviced at least the 50 hours servicing if I am not mistaken but check in the owners manual once you get there if he has it... I always ask why he is selling it, and what he did with it as far as work, I check the oil even if I don't expect much from it but is it low, the color, is there particles and how dose it smell. Make sure you get the owner manual, start it up check all the functions, check for damage and if it has been greased.

Again with not even 200h you can't expect much wrong from it its is still new.

It does look to be a great deal. But I don’t think it’s big enough to handle your needs. If you already have it, take good care of it. Then you can sell it at a profit and start the journey over! I think you need nothing smaller than a fifty horse. Seventy five will get you done quicker
