I saw this ad on craigslist (7' 3pt Rear Blade Buhler/Allied HD) and was wondering if my CT225 will pull it very well. I will be using it for some snow removal (I also have a hydraulic front blade) and dirt grading. I like the heavy duty nature of the blade but am worried it is too big. It is a 7' blade that weighs 405 #.

Thanks!

405 lbs is nothing for the 3 pt hitch! I run a 500lb bush hog that sticks out about 8 feet with my CT225. The only factor is how much material you can push with it...and that you can control from the drivers seat. I would not be afraid of using it.

I was less worried about the weight and more about the resistance the width with create in dirt. But like you said, just bite of a little less.
