JD 2030 Play in steering wheel

I have a John Deere 2030 tractor that has a lot of play in the steering. The tye rods are in good shape. Is there a way to adjust the steering to eliminate the play?

Remove rear round inspection cover on clutch housing and be sure bolt(parts key #11) is tight and arm(parts key #9) is snug on tapered splines on shaft(parts key #7) Also check for looseness in bellcrank(parts key #2) in the center of frt axle.

I second checking the bellcrank. My 2030 needs the bearing on it replaced. On my "to do" list.
