JD 2320 four wheel drive light won't shut off

I wonder if anyone out there has had a similar problem? The john Deere was bought second hand and has no books with it. I'd like to hear from someone who has had to change the sensor for the light. I'd like to know where it is located and what is involved with changing it. Reason for asking owner is retired and was told by dealer that the part is 40.00 Canadian but the dealer wants 200.00 plus the part cost to do the work. Thank you.

I replaced the switch (LVA11188) on my 2320 about 6 years ago. If the design has not changed the switch is basically a small button that contacts the back of the 4 wheel drive selector lever. Look along the back of the lever and you should see where the switch contacts the lever. As I recall it was an easy job, unplug the electrical connector on the back of the switch, remove 2 bolts that hold the switch in position, put the new switch in position and fasten the bolts, connect the electrical connector to the new switch. I don't believe it was more than a 20 minute job at the most.

I just looked at the John Deere Technical Publications Store online "https://techpubs.deere.com" They have a US and Canada 800 number, 1-800-522-7448. The technical manual, TM2388, sells in book form for $153.27 US plus shipping. I don't know of other sources for the manual but I imagine there are some.

They are hard to find cheap. At that price it is over $200.00 Canadian and more than he wants to spend. I'll keep looking. Thanks again
