I needed to move some dirt and gravel the other day and noticed my hydraulics were noiser than normal. The outside temperature was in the 40's so it was cold. I let her warm up for 10 minutes and the engine temp was normal. When I raised the FEL the hydrualics were noisy almost a winning noise. Same from the the 3 pt when I raised the box blade. No issues when moving the tractor. It is a hydro. I know the hydra fluid is thick when cold but thought it should have warmed up. Maybe not since I did not really work it.

Did it quiet down after using the FEL for a few minutes? If yes it was probably the cooler oil. Since the tranny is HST the charge pump helps warm it but this heat is not transfered to the FEL circuit until you start operating it.

FEL was still noisy after running the system. Talked to dealer and he said the "screen" before the pump might be dirty. Only has 100 hours so it is in warranty. Headed to shop after holidays.
