John Deere 4115
I have a similar problem that I have seen posted here before but no resolution yet. I bought a 4115 and didn't realize that the lift arms were stuck in the up position. I've taken the control valve out about three times now and have disassembled it and found no issues. I took the rocker arm housing cover off and inspected. I finally took it to the dealer and they said it needed a new control valve for $2,200 although they said it could be more if thats not the problem. I think they are just doing the plug and play thing. The odd thing is that when I brought it home after having the dealer look at it and not fix it the control arms would fall once the tractor is shut off. Upon starting they go right back up. I see reference to an "isolation valve" in the repair manual but can't see where that is located. Any help would sure be appreciated.

Hi. I have the same thing happening in my fiat 650 tractor. Not the same machine but word is the drain valve is stuck. Engine off= arms down. Engine running = arms up. Hard to diagnose on the fiat as the whole hydraulic tank has to be removed to get to the drain valve. Not hijacking your thread sorry but maybe if your tractor is similar it might be worth looking into this. Cheers.

Looks like your tractor has a rockshaft lock valve.
