I'm looking into buying my first tractor soon. I saw a Deere 4115 with 400 hours for $11,000. It comes with a mower deck. The plan is to eventually buy a loader a little down the road. Looks like the H130 is the current model that will fit it. Is that price the dealer is asking fair? Any issues you can see from the pics? Also, were taillights not standard on the 4115? Most seem time have them but this one doesn't appear to.

If you want an FEL, buy a tractor with one already on it. You'll spend way more adding an FEL to a used tractor that buying one with an FEL on it already.

I think you should look around at other tractors. That price may be fair (I don't know pricing on the 4115 models), but you can buy plenty of other tractors for that price. I recently bought a Kubota BX2660 with FEL and MMM deck for that price. The BX2660 is a subcompact (and I think the 4115 would be considered a compact but on the very small end of compact) and weighs a bit less but has about the same HP (more gross HP and the same PTO HP) and is about 10 years newer than the 4115.

Sounds high to me. The dealer gave me $6,000 for my 4010 (think that was even with the LX4 bush hog). So, I'd think they would have sold it for no more than $8,000. It was a 2004 with 660 hours on it.

I agree with others. You'll likely spend a lot getting a loader added. My 4010 had a 410 loader on it, a real beast of a loader. The 4115 would be better, as it had another pump for the steering and therefore more oil flow for the loader is steering at the same time. Think there's about 1.5-2 more hp, too. For my usage, the 4010 had the right amount of hp. Current 1025s have excess. The loader isn't as capable either, just a bit faster.

The lights are definitely missing, they are not an "option". Price does seems high without a loader...but I take it from you other post about adding PB you already bought it.

Oh, the lights are $56 for each assembly, each side. I bought one set for my 4010. Don't remember why. I switched them to inside the ROPS and somehow had to buy another set. 'twas $56.

I recently found the extra set and gave to a friend who has a 4010.

Yes, I bought it but didn't pay what they were asking. I think I got it for a fair price, didn't get a steal but didn't get taken either. I've been watching the market for a while and prices seem to be a little higher in the Northeast. I saw some Deeres in PA and MD that were probably better deals but I decided I didn't want to gamble driving 450+ miles to not have a deal work out. Other than the missing lights (not sure why they were removed) and the rear part of the fenders being bent (already ordered replacements), I couldn't find any other issues with the machine. I'm supposed to pick it up Friday. Are the lights a plug & play option?
