JD 5X10 Clutch Repair

The clutch is almost gone and no adjustment left on my neighbors 5410. He is trying to decide if he should have it done or do it himself. He would replace the whole clutch packet/assembly. He has the tech manual, a concrete surface to do it on, jacks and I think all the wrenches/sockets needed. He would also replace the pilot and throw out bearing.

I have read you need 2 special tools needed to disassemble. reassemble and adjust the clutch. JDG1337 for assembly and disassembly, and JDG1375 for adjusting clutch fingers.

If anyone has done this before. I would appreciate you sharing your experience, any input and pictures on it went.

All the ones I have done you don’t need to adjust anything. Just put it in. It comes set where it needs to be.
