JD 6105M, 6125M, 6330, or 7230

Out of the four models listed, any will work for me. Just wondering if there are any known to have issues. Any input?? All are MFWD and similar hours.

The 6M's have been good so far, bit I tend to prefer the 30 series. They have been out longer and have a great record. I like the 7230 for longer wheel base and smother ride, but the 6330 will turn tighter if used in tight quarters.

The 4.5L engine vs a 6.8L. Both engines have a long history and a reputation for reliability. The 7230 will likely pull the others backwards around the farm...

What about transmissions? Are they all powershifts?

The M's are gonna be set up with the full spectrum of emission controls. The 30's won't. Maybe just EGR.

Shorter wheelbase - better loader tractor. Longer wheelbase - better row crop tractor.

I'm a hay farmer with a few livestock. Small fields, irregular shape. I looked real hard at the 6330-6430 tractors. Decided to go with a little smaller foot print and less average hours.

Depends a whole lot on the type of work you'll be sittin' in that tractor doin'.
