( sfranchok did i understand you when you said you could buy a M105X with a KubotaSL loader for $46.6K?Man i got beat then!!I reasearched the JD and you have to get the 6420 to compare.I can tell you some pro's and con's if you would like.Your like me i was afraid the 0% would expire on Oct.1 2005 but they extended it to Dec.31 )

Mseriesfreak, sorry, I did not look further up in this thread to see what you paid for yours. I think you probably did very well with your price. I think the only reason mine was $3.2K less than yours is because they offered a fleet price rate since I also purchased a mini-excavator. But yes, now that you've had an opportunity to operate your 105 for a few months, I am eager to hear. If you feel that the rear end is light, then I'd reco getting a $200 three point round bale spear so you can carry 2 at a time. After driving the M105X yesterday around the dealer's large lot, I didn't notice what you are referring to.

congrats sflranchok,I am not the only one tied down for 3 years! The light backend was fine when i had a roll on the back.I also had the bale too high at the time. The loader on the 105 has a heck of a foward reach (which is a good thing)that also takes some weight off of the rear. That bigger pump and the lower air vents on the air conditionong was the only thing i seen better.Kubota's warranty is a year longer on drivetrain, more ground clearance, more gear shifts without changing ranges,bi-speed turning, automatic shifting, electric front locking differental,4wheel brakes. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well,

You are the wiser for going to circuit city. They did agree to go eith the am/fm/cd, somthing which if I'd of thought about it, could probably saved a few more $$'s like you did if I had gotten it on my own. Keep me posted as you discover new things about it,

I did a real close examination of our 105 and for the life of me, I don't see any front brakes...you have a prototype?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Matter of fact, our M9 and the 105 have similar, very similar front drive units.

On the spec sheet for the M105X, it describes the brake type as " Hydraulically operated wet disc brakes, with automatic front axle engagement." Then, in a footnote, it says "The front axle is engaged automatically for braking purposes when both brake pedals are pressed together..." Could this be what he is talking about? I don't know how the M105S or the M9 compare.

Mechanically, with the exception of transmission options, the X and the S are similar and the M9 has a similar driveline with different transmission options too. An example is the manual engagement of the front drive unit on the M9. The M9, the 105s and the x all share the same physical front case by visiual inspection....I have looked at them all.

I do believe he was referring to the auto lockup of the front drive upon brake application.....I was just prodding a little. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I, for one, don't particularly like the armrest mounted controls on the X. The side mount controls on the S and the M9 are more to my taste and more in keeping with our other tractors.

I do recall somting about the brakes being incorporated into the transmission, but I could be wrong.
