JD 4320, JD 4700, JD 710C, IH Super A.
Noticed today that my jd 4700 has a what I would guess a accessory position, off position, and a on position. is this normal? I'm used to tractors with 2 position. off and on. What say you ( I didn't count the starting position, please forgive me, lol )

So I have a 4100 and my parents have a 4400. My 4100 has off/on/start, the 4400 has accessory/off/on/start.

That is correct (accessories, off, run, and start). And the "run" position will heat the intake manifold if the key is pressed/pushed forward.
The 4200, 4300, 4400, 4500, 4600, and 4700 the same.

thank you for the response. my tractor is being worked on at the dealership. and the young man working on it was trying to say the accessories position was actually the ignition being broken lol. so ill have a talk with him about this Monday.
