Agree. The thing is, you can get the smaller standard Ls in gear drive already, and I think cheaper than the 3D line. Almost nobody buys them. I get that they're targeting small orchards, and trying to be the "second tractor", but you'd almost have to bleed green to buy one of these for a job an old gasser can still do just fine.

Is the 790 (Yanmar) still made or is this the current offering?

I had a new 770 and basically got rid of it because it wasn't a hydro, but it was nice for travelling any distance.

I would hate to do much FEL work with a gear tractor. The Hydro on my 3032E is so easy to use.

Gear drives aren’t terrible when they’re synchronized. I’ve operated a 770 which was not synchronized and an 870 that was and man what a difference in efficiency for loader use. Shuttle would be even better...
