i was told it will burn up my hydraulic pump using my loader on my backhoe tractor with the clutch pushed in due to the pump in the shuttle shift transmission being disconnected and not pumping oil to the front pump.
i dont see john deere doing something but would like to know for sure .
is a factory front loader and backhoe tractor ind model. thanks lance

I don't know if it would burn up, there is an reservior to supply it when the trans pump is not running, but it's limited capacity. Loader would not have oil flow to move for very long.

is it good enough to load a truck or unload a hay bale from a trailer without doing any damage to the pump do you think use the shuttle shift and not use the clutch as much

Most operators I've witnessed using a tractor with a reverser just leave clutch pedal up and use reverser to control tractor movement That's the concept of a reverser no need to depress clutch to change directions of travel. IIRC the reverser has a neutral area.
