This is for a buddy who inherited a JD 4100HST at his new job. Who ever worked it before, for some reason pulled the safety wires off the prongs under the seat left side ( the Safety Switch and HydFluid level sensor ) and bridged the wires and taped them up. What he discovered was : The Unit would start and run all day.. however when he engaged the mid mount mower, which would spin but not to full speed, and when cutting will slow down to almost a stop...lift off of grass it spins up but not to full speed. What I did, reconnect the wires to the sensors and PTO engaged, however the pto switch was left on mistakenly and engaged when starting the tractor.. which it shouldn't do as well as once running placing in gear.. the tractor shuts down completely.. I brought the up safety solenoid home to mine and tested with my JD 4100 and it works. Any suggestions??
