I have a John Deere 425 AWS. I cannot get this into free wheel, the differential lock seems engage regardless of what I do.
The free wheel rod, when engaged, presses down on two buttons on top of the differential. They are not froze up etc etc?nd I suspect something is wrong inside the cases. Working and observing the differential lock, it presses in the large button on the side when engaged, and releases it when disengaged.
I notice between the two buttons on top of the differential, is a plug. Perhaps taking apart, cleaning? I haven稚 gotten any further since doing so may make it worse.
Is there anything I can do easily to perhaps fix this thing? The scheme of the differential is at John Deere - Parts Catalog but I ain稚 smart enough about these things to get past where I am with this.
