John Deere 5105 Hydraulic surging issue

I have a John Deere 5105 and the hydraulics controlling the three point hitch surges. It has enough surge to rock the tractor pretty hard anytime you lift something, regardless of weight. It has a new filter and the pump was replaced 6 months ago. Any ideas?

Fix up a pressure gauge and do some pressure checks.. what I'd do next. Or maybe you have done that already.

air in the lines sounds to be it.. it would be very odd if it was something else..

I'd say it would be "odd" if it were air in the lines..

I'll suggest if you haven't already performed this task to check/clean trans oil screen. how long since you checked hyd oil level?
