I'm familiar with both setups and have to say I like the JDQA hook and pin style over the Kubota skid steer style. The Kubota seems overly complicated and stories of attachments popping off and having to adjust the pins and spring tension adding washers etc seem over complicated.
The JD hook n pin is simple, fail safe which applies to my KISS keep it simple stupid attitude.
I do realize there's so much more in the way of attachments for SSQA but really wonder why?

The JD setup weighs less too. On a larger tractor not a big deal but on smaller ones more important. You can get a lot of attachments in JDQA but sometimes there is an up charge.

And the Sony Betamax was a better videotape format

I have absolutely no experience with the SSQA, 'Global' or any other QA system other than the JDQA.

In Australia, no particular QA system is prevalent.

That being said, I have never had any problem getting a FEL implement in a JDQA 'set-up' and it is easy to swap the implements that I do have.

The attachment 'set-up' has never failed during the use of the implements either.

Kubota uses the SSQA system because it's become so common. It's wasn't originally Kubota's system. Pretty sure it was Bobcat who invented it. I've never used one, but I think the "Global" system would be better. Unfortunately, it is what it is now. If you're in the US or Canada and want to be able to easily borrow or rent attachments or buy them and not have to modify them, you're stuck with SSQA. If those concerns don't apply to you, use what you like.

FWIW, the SSQA system works fine and the Kubota setup isn't any more complicated than anybody else's. I've used machines with that system for 25 years and have never had an attachment come off. I've never heard of one coming off unless the handles weren't pushed down all the way. Seen a few videos of it happening, but I don't know what happened exactly in those cases.
